Junior Talent on Show at Wednesbury

On Sunday 8 June, Beacon HC entered U8, U10 and U12 teams in a "mini festival" tournament hosted at Willenhall E-Act Academy by Wednesbury HC.

Our U8s won 2 and drew 1 of their 4 games, with Zayden getting all 6 goals ⚽️. Cayden in particular was a ⭐️ in defence and is developing a mean slap-shot now 💪 Well done also to Diana, Hayden and Jamie.

Our U10s went unbeaten, winning 3 and drawing 1 of their games. Top scorer was Matthew with 3, with both Poppy and Ethan also on the scoresheet 🤩 along with Zyon ⚽️. Shout-out to Samuel and Zayden for helping Newport in the last match 👏

The U12 team won 3 and lost 1 of their 4 games, netting 5 goals and conceding 3. Top scorer was Elliot with 2 ⚽️⚽️ (on his debut!), ahead of Viren, Zyon and Charles. But it wasn't all about scoring, U10 Clarice was a rock in defence and her clearances often reached our forward players 💥.

Sean 🏅 also put in a POTM performance against WaTs in the last match, dashing from right midfield to defence and making last-ditch tackles TWICE to keep out 2 certain goals, as well as putting in dangerous crosses up the other end.
